Thank you for visiting our website. I am honored to serve as the Director of ACE and grateful that you entrust our staff with the education of students from Beaufort and Jasper Counties.
At ACE, we are progressive and student-centered, with high expectations for both students and staff. A great deal of time and effort is devoted to helping students select courses that best fit their academic needs and career interests. Our course selection process is designed to be collaborative, involving students, parents, teachers, and school counselors. Together, we thoughtfully review course options to ensure the best pathway forward. For full details, please consult the Program of Studies Handbook.
We ask all 11th- and 12th-grade students, along with their parents, to tentatively plan their course selections for the duration of their time at ACE. While these plans will be updated each year, early planning helps ensure students remain on track to achieve their goals. Teachers and counselors from both your home high school and ACE are available to provide guidance and support—please take advantage of their expertise when making these important decisions.

Carrie Chappell
Carrie Chappell is a long-time educator with most of her career in Beaufort County School District. Ms. Chappell has worked with students in grades PK-12 as a teacher and administrator. Before becoming a school administrator, she was a vocal and general music teacher. Since becoming an administrator, Carrie has worked at BCSD in the Instructional Services Department leading STEAM initiatives, and at Beaufort Middle and High Schools as Assistant Principal. She is excited to now serve as Assistant Director at Beaufort Jasper ACE.
